~Harry Crabb Park Update September 2020~

*October update at the bottom

Hello Stoneridge Neighbors!

We hope you are staying well and safe. What a year it has been!

As an update, Crabb Park is progressing well and we are rounding into the final stretch towards completion. We are working hard to establish the grass before it gets cold and testing new improvements to ensure they are working as intended and are safe.

Permanent on-street parking on Scarborough is expected to be complete by late October/early November. The park in its entirety is expected to open late December. We realize there are parking challenges because the new off street parking remains closed until the construction is fully completed and the project is accepted by the City Council. We are monitoring the parking situation in concert with our Police Department. We thank everyone for your patience during construction related both to the building of new improvements and the parking. Once the park is open, we will continue to monitor parking patterns to further address anything needed.

We are adding two bocce ball courts within the existing park portion. Due to COVID, some materials are in short supply. This is expected to be complete by early October.

We look forward to being able to celebrate the opening of the park. Likely, the fences will come down in December and a celebration to occur in the Spring when the weather is nice.

Thanks for your time and consideration!

Subject: RE: Parking on Luciana

Hi!

To alleviate resident concerns about park users parking in front of the homes on Luciana Way, on Monday, October 5, temporary “No Parking” signs will be installed on the residential side of Luciana Way from Secret Ravine Parkway to Lysander Way. The signage is temporary and will be removed once the park opens. Please note that Luciana Way is a public street and the police cannot enforce the “No Parking” signage. We are hopeful this temporary signage will serve as a deterrent for park users who may park in front of your homes due to a lack of available parking elsewhere. If you have questions or comments about this action, please contact me at tgee@roseville.ca.us or (916) 774-5253.

Thanks for your time and consideration!
